First two weeks complete – feeling an instant difference!
For those of you that have read my previous post you will have seen I recently have turned 36. With this semi milestone looming, I decided to sign up to The Body Coach – an online training program aiming to help those wishing to lose weight and get fitter. Although part of the process is to put your body measurements in, I haven’t done this yet but, I have been going to the gym regularly and made some positive changes to my diet.
Stage one of the program provides you with detailed menu choices plus a workout plan to follow. Mainly HIIT training (High Intensity Interval Training). This is mainly focused on upping your heart rate to get the body burning fat. If done right and with the correct intensity, you can see changes quite quickly here.
At the time of writing, I am two weeks in and have felt a huge difference already in my fitness levels and how comfy I feel in my clothes. This is down to being clever with your meal choices and what fuel you give your body at what times. The program is over 100 pages long so provides lots of information.
To quote the program “CYCLE ONE is all about igniting a serious fat burn with the use of intense cardio. Then you refuel with quality carbohydrates when needed and spend the remaining parts of the day enjoying tasty reduced carbohydrate meals rich in good quality fats and lean protein sources. In a nutshell this means you will be eating THREE main meals per day and TWO snacks. On days where you are training you will have TWO main meals from the reduced carbohydrate menu and ONE main meal from the carbohydrate refuel menu as well as the TWO snacks which remain the same regardless of training or not. On rest days you will have THREE main meals from the reduced carbohydrate menu as well as the TWO snacks.”
I was supposed to have provided body measurements but have yet to do this. This is something I will aim to do shortly and will publish those with starting pics. EEEEKKK!
The one finishing point to mention on this program is the ability to mix and match the requirements around your busy life. Ideally it asks for fasted cardio (when waking) but this isn’t always possible for me personally so I have missed it up to suit.
Things are certainly heading in the right direction, that’s for sure!
