Great bit of motivation from Tryathletetry when the going gets tough!
Well then. 3 and a half weeks to go!!
Training has been very much up and down since my last update. The weather has been fiiiiine which, although lovely, has made going for a run much harder. Humidity and burning sun are not this runners friend!
So on Friday I laced up my new running shoes and, fuelled by Nutella and banana on wholemeal toast, set off with the dog for a run. It was early(ish) as I was trying to avoid the heat, and I figured the actual race will be in the morning so I need to get used to long runs in the morning. I’d mapped a route of 14km, and the plan was to take El Poocho to the local dog park for the first few km, then loop back home and drop him off before doing another 9-10km around Wollaton Park and University Park.
